I love the LF

I love this pic.

If all else fails we can do a Coptic conspiracy and immigrate to Lebanon. I'm sure the Christians there would love to have us.

stop trying to be clever.
i do not answer anonymous individuals with lame comments.

i will keep on deleting your comments cause you are an ass.

i agree with the LF because they believe in a federalist system which would give the christians more power over their own affairs. i do not agree with the aounists.

I want to ask you a question,
What identity do you consider as your primary Identity ?
Is it christian first or Egyptian First or Coptic first.
I believe everybody has the right to prioritize his identities, but I believe many factors interplay in that priority making and I guess our current system managed to destroy the remaining threads of sense of belonging to our countries and everybody is trying to prioritize other identies to being Egyptian

Thats a complicated question to answer. At first, I thought without hestitation that I was Egyptian, but I could consider myslef Arab, Lebanese, Marionite-Catholic or Coptic.

If i were to prioritize it would be:

1) Christian
2) Egyptian

I wish that weren't the csse but secretarianism is on the rise in Egypt.

Dear ....,
Worldwide now, there is a trend of adopting religious and ethnic identities rather than national identities.
This trend is very dangerous and is the cause of conflict between civilizations. It is the cause of conflict in Iraq now, and it is the cause of many many conflicts.
Adopting those kind of identities is due to several factors, and I am not and -can not- blame anybody for that. but I wanted to point out this fact.
In the US, despite the vast vast majority of ethnicities and religions, there is not such an identity flipping, in fact they saye "Americans we stand" and this is the backbone of their nation.
There are facts in life that we can not excape from, one of it the place of birth, ethnicity, DNA sequence etc...., u can change a lot of your identities but not those.
It is so sad to see so many good people now choosing their religious identity on their -past- egyptian identity. and I am not saying this cause u r coptic, I now moslems who say exactly the same thing, and claim that there is nothing called national country, as long as u r a good moslem, then u can be a good moslem anywhere and there is no better place for that than the US.
The problem in Egypt is lack of freedom, lack of democracy and lack of justice, believe me it is lack on all religions, moslems and coptic, being christian in Egypt which means not the majority will make it even worse but it is not the problem.

Finally, I hope that u do not get me wrong, I respect your blog and Love Egypt
